We Have a Winner!
I want to take a moment to thank all of you who have joined our new Facebook community! It’s wonderful to be able to share with/hear from you on a daily basis, as well as twice a week here at The LOOP. When joining us on Facebook, I know many of you also entered the contest to win a trip to Los Angeles to enjoy some of our local sights, tour the Medtronic facility and meet with some of our executives.
The good news is, we’ve selected a winner!
Before I tell you who it is, you might wonder how we went about selecting someone. Well, to ensure objectivity we asked one of our vendors for some help. (Karrie and I, as well as the rest of the Medtronic team, were sure to stay out of the process so we didn’t have any influence!) They used a site called random.org to enter in the total number of entries (we received more than 3800!) and generate a winning number, which corresponded to an individual in the database of entries.
So, without further delay, the winner is….(drumroll please)….
Aron Medow!
We’ve already called Aron to tell him the good news and he is very excited! He’s been living with diabetes for 29 years. He is a consultant for a virtualizations company and lives in Cleveland, OH with his wife and two young boys. As if a busy career and a family wasn’t enough to keep anyone busy, Aron also finds the time to enjoy things like rollerblading, hiking, working out, and most recently training to compete in a mud run contest!
We’re all very excited to meet Aron when he comes to visit and will be sure to share more from him in the coming months.
For those of you who didn’t win this time, don’t worry – we have more contests coming up soon!
