Rock the Vote for Diabetes
One of the best parts of my job is getting to meet people who are doing amazing work in the diabetes community, whether one of our customers, an advocate or a diabetes researcher. Last week I had the opportunity to meet Quinn Nystrom, who has been an inspirational leader, youth advocate, and speaker since she was diagnosed at the age of 13. She spent a year traveling across the country to camps, conference, corporations and the U.S. Congress as the National Youth Advocate for the American Diabetes Association (ADA).
I was immediately struck by Quinn’s passion to spread the word that people with diabetes can live their life to the fullest. I think you’ll agree that this is a message that a lot of people still need to hear.
That is why I am asking you to get out the vote and vote for Quinn Nystrom in Glamour Magazine’s Sally Hansen Best of You. Already a top 10 finalist, your vote could help Quinn raise additional donation for her charity, Dateline Diabetes, which provides support and mentors for young people with diabetes. The voting ends February 13, so get your vote in now.

@anna It sounds like you’re thinking of Lenny the Lion’s app which helps teach kids (and adults) about carb counting. It’s called Carb Counting with Lenny and can be found on iTunes and the Android Market.
