I want to take a moment to thank all of you who participated in the Medtronic Diabetes Ambassador Election! It was exciting to host an election allowing the community to come together and share their thoughts and vote on their favorite diabetes ambassador.

It was a close race, but in the end, Lenny the Lion edged out the the Bolus Wizard and Carl the Chameleon as your favorite diabetes ambassador of all time.

Regarding his victory, Lenny said, “I’m truly honored that you all have selected me as your favorite diabetes ambassador. As a small cub living with diabetes, it’s really important to me to make sure others know and understand what diabetes is and for other cubs who have it, that they too can lead an active life. The other candidates have done a lot to improve the lives of those living with diabetes, so this is a real honor, thank you!”

When asked what Lenny was going to do to celebrate this win, he said, “I’ve always wanted to go sky-diving and my friend Michael Craig said he’d take me. I think I’ll try that!”

We here at The LOOP are going to keep a close eye on this one! Who would like to see Lenny sky-dive to celebrate his win?
