Karrie Hawbaker

Public Relations Manager

Karrie Hawbaker is the public relations manager for the diabetes business unit of Medtronic.

For the last 10 years she’s fed her curious mind by working with a wide variety of health, science and technology organizations. However, it was the healthcare PR programs – from public education campaigns about medication errors to raising awareness of food allergies in children – that she found the most rewarding. That’s why, in January 2011, she jumped at the opportunity to use her skills to help Medtronic improve the lives of people with diabetes.

Karrie is eager to learn more about diabetes, get to know the DOC and talk with you about what’s going on here at Medtronic.

A new resident of the West Coast, she enjoys travelling, cooking and hiking in the Southern California mountains.
